Participants will learn about produce safety (GAP’s/GMP’s), preventing the spread of Foodborne pathogens, pre and post-harvest uses of water, cleaning and sanitizing food contact surfaces, standard operating procedures for each step in the food growing, harvesting, processing, and mock recall process. This Federal (AFDO) certification is valid indefinitely (until FSMA requires training) and complies with the produce safety section of the FSMA (2011 Food Safety Modernization Act).
