Compliance Training

Participants will learn how to perform Adult First Aid, CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) and use an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) using American Red Cross and ASHI skills.  This certification is valid for 2 years and complies with CalOSHA GISO §3400. Medical Services and First Aid.  Cost is $75/participant.  Est. time 4 Hours.

Participants will learn examples of sexual harassment, how to report it, and ways to prevent harassment in the workplace.  This certification is valid for 1 year and complies with AB1825, AB2053, and SB1343.  Cost is $40/participant for Supervisory and $25/participant for Non-Supervisory.  Est. time 2 Hours/1 Hour.

Participants will learn symptoms of heat stress, what to expect when reporting it, and how to prevent heat stress in the workplace.  This certification is valid for 1 year and complies with CalOSHA GISO §3395. Heat Illness Prevention in Outdoor Places of Employment.  Cost is $20/participant.  Est. time 30 Min./1 Hour.

Participants will learn how to operate a tractor safely, identify risks to avoid, and how to do a pre-shift inspection.  This certification is valid for 1 year and complies with CalOSHA GISO §3664. Operating Rules (Agricultural -Industrial Tractors.  Cost is $50/participant.  Est. time 1 Hour. 

Participants will learn about PPE needed when mixing/applying pesticides, reading labels, first aid procedures, re-entry intervals, among other topics.  This certification is valid for 1 year and complies with the EPA Federal Worker Protection Standard.  Cost is $50/participant (Pesticide Handler) and $20/participant (Farmworker Safety with Pesticides). Est. time 1 Hour.

Participants will learn how to operate a forklift safely, do a pre-shift inspection, and have a driver evaluation.  This certification is valid for 3 years (annually recommend) and complies with CalOSHA GISO §3668. Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training.  Cost is $65/participant.  Est. time 3 Hours.

Participants will learn how to operate an ATV safely, do a pre-shift inspection, and review weight/tow limits per the manufacturer’s manual.  This certification is valid for 1 year and complies with applicable portions of CalOSHA GISO §3437 and §3441.  Cost is $50/participant.  Est. time 1 Hour. 

Participants will learn about produce safety (GAP’s/GMP’s), preventing the spread of Foodborne pathogens, pre and post-harvest uses of water, cleaning and sanitizing food contact surfaces, standard operating procedures for each step in the food growing, harvesting, processing, and mock recall process.  This Federal (AFDO) certification is valid indefinitely (until FSMA requires training) and complies with the produce safety section of the FSMA (2011 Food Safety Modernization Act).  Cost is $200/$25/participant (depending on grant funding).  Est. time is 6 Hours.
